  • There is a way to improve Non-English search

This suggestion was already submitted before, and was considered. I could try it, however it’s not simple at all. I unfortunately have no idea how could this impact forums that have English content, nor the performance implications that this could possibly have.

Because of that, I am very hesitant to make quick changes to forum databases that are very difficult to revert properly without breaking even more things. If this is a problem for a significant amount of FreeFlarum forums, I guess it might be worth a try.

SKevo I have a question, is the database separate for each subcommunity?
If yes, maybe me we can give (some) users a switch to change this item, or communicate with some users by other way to let them try this solution in small radius, and then extend to all users.

      🙁
(So why and when Flarum will support multilingual search everywhere??

html5syt yes, that’s an option I suppose. I’ll consider this.

I belive there are some existing open issues and discussions at the Flarum Discuss community and GitHub repository, but I can’t remember which.

SKevo Yes, when I was searching the solution of this, I found that there have many old problems about it, and some of them are not solve completely.

14569 I was not aware that 2.x was just around the corner, time really flies. Thank you. I knew that there was supposed to be an improvement for 2.x.

This means that no potentially dangerous fixes are necessary. FreeFlarum will update to 2.x as soon as possible, which should resolve this.

          SKevo locked the discussion .
