Hey everyone! As the snow falls and the jingle bells ring, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas filled with happiness, health, and heartwarming moments. May your holiday season be as wonderful as the communities you've built here! I will be focusing on this forum more in the coming days, as I have more spare time during holidays. The extension requests at GitHub deserve some love too. I will go through them all and let you know of the new additions in this thread too. I've temporarily removed the `JeromeGillard/flarum-map` extension, as it is currently incompatible with FoF Upload (a fix was proposed here: https://github.com/JeromeGillard/flarum-map/pull/12)

@"SKevo"#p13 the Map extension was re-added. Moreover, the FoF Spamblock and FoF Stop Forum Spam extensions were removed in favour of [FoF Anti-spam](https://github.com/FriendsOfFlarum/anti-spam). Forum administrators are encouraged to enable this new extension to limit spam at their forum.

The `zequeen/acgembed-remastered` extension was removed from FreeFlarum, along with `sycho/flarum-private-facade` ([ref.](https://github.com/SychO9/flarum-private-facade/issues/3))

Removed the following extensions, because they were marked as abandoned: - `zerosonesfun/direct-links` - `zerosonesfun/flarum-bbcode-button` - `zerosonesfun/flarum-bbcode-iframe` - `zerosonesfun/flarum-featured-card` - `zerosonesfun/flarum-member` If there is a replacement, please create a new extension request (https://github.com/FreeFlarum/freeflarum.com/issues/) Re-added `sycho/flarum-private-facade` (@"SKevo"#p15)

Added `flarum-lang/ukrainian` and updated all extensions to their latest versions. Forums might receive a prompt to upgrade their database. This will be resolved automatically in a few hours, but if you want your forum to be synchronized sooner, please fix it up at https://freeflarum.com/settings/forum_settings

Today, at around 16:00 - 17:00 UTC, FreeFlarum has suffered another DDoS attack targetting one specific forum. I was forced to apply mitigation rules from Cloudflare's side, but even with them applied, a small downtime occurred. I apologize for the inconvenience, and will look at how to guard against these type of things more efficiently in the future. I've also noticed that some users abuse the relaxed "limits" on forums per e-mail address and IP. Before, there was a limit of 3 forums per e-mail address, but for some users, that wasn't enough. Because this wasn't a problem before, I've removed this limit. Sadly, I will have to bring these limits back, as there were a bunch of spam forums registered in the last couple of days. These forums will be purged (we will have to review them by hand since not all belong to the same address, so if I mistakenly archive a legit forum, please let me know). Specifically, the limits will be: 3 forums per e-mail and IP. This does not affect existing forum owners (your forums will be kept), but it will mean that you can't register more either. If someone needs more than 3 forums, it will be handled via e-mail (message me and I will create the additional forum for you). Meanwhile, I've also fixed YouTube not embedding videos on forums through iFrame. It seems that was a server-wide FreeFlarum-specific thing, until now.

I have removed inactive forums to free up system resources. Forum creation was limited to 3 forums per email. If your forum got removed by any chance and you'd like to have it back online, please message me at info(at)freeflarum.com
