Network connection error despite stable connection

A short while ago, there was a glitch that made (https://foro.arsoporte.com/) inaccessible. The notification states that this application requires an internet connection to function, but the internet connection is actually stable.

What could be the cause?

medelinor it comes from the PWA extension and as far as I know, the message can appear if there is a JS/server error in your forum. However, I don’t see any error in your most recent server logs as of now, and I can access the forum fine without any issues. I guess it was just a temporary hiccup from PWA’s side?

Thank you for your reply. I’m currently experiencing the same problem and I can’t access the forum.

This happened a few days ago to another user who was having trouble accessing the forum at the same time I was able to access it successfully.

Now the forum is working for them, but not for me, and I’m trying to access it from a web browser on my computer.

If disabling the web application extension is the issue, please do it for me so I can access it.

Unfortunately, hours and days are still passing and I am unable to access my forum, nor can people access it.

medelinor I was able to reproduce this issue today. The likely culprit is that your foro.arsoporte.com is no longer pointing to cname.freeflarum.com:

I have reset your domain back to https://arsoporte.freeflarum.com now. To fix this, you should CNAME foro.arsoporte.com to cname.freeflarum.com and then update the domain in settings, also see https://docs.freeflarum.com/en/tutorials/custom-domain/

I’d like to point out that no changes have been made in this regard, and the field you mentioned is still present in the domain name settings:

However, I deleted it and re-entered it, and after posting this reply, I will try to link the domain to the forum through your forum settings.

medelinor that appears to be correct, but on FreeFlarum’s end, it shows up as an A record instead. Not sure what went wrong there, but try recreating the record and let me know

medelinor I noticed that you likely have an additional A record on “foro” pointing to 216.239.34.21, could you remove that one? It’s the reason why FreeFlarum can’t properly recognize the CNAME. There should be only 1 record per hostname at a time in order for it to work properly.

Upon restoring the forum, the icons are still missing for some reason, but the main problem has been resolved.

That means that your browser is still using a different URL for the icons, but I can confirm the domain is linked correctly. Waiting some time, or cleaning your browser cache or testing it in private browsing or different browser should make the icons display correctly
