Posts are getting published but not error is still showing {post gets published in the background}

ar33bshola check your automod config:

flarum.ERROR: TypeError: Askvortsov\AutoModerator\CriteriaCalculator::recalculate(): Argument #1 ($user) must be of type Flarum\User\User, null given

One of the criterion is likely setup incorrectly. Fixing it (or disabling the extension) should fix the issue

I have the same problem and no AutoMod enabled. Can this be caused by another extension?
Also, I can’t start a new discussion. Same error displayed but there is no silent success.

go to admin > extensions > progressive web app > click on “reset vapid keys” button, then try again

No idea why this worked but it did 😃 Thank you!

TobiasFreund the Progressive Web App ext needs to have the vapid keys reset before first use on FreeFlarum. To this day, I could never determine the root cause either. Alas, I have no idea how it works 🤷
