Why should this extension be included?

so I add Google and Bing verification and customise the header

Write a reason why should this extension exist at FreeFlarum? Would it be beneficial for the majority of FreeFlarum users? Does it offer an unique feature that cannot be easily implemented with a custom HTML (footer/header), CSS or JavaScript?
There’s no Header template to manually edit or add code

Hello sunnay , I hope you’re doing well.

To add custom code to your forum header, such as a Bing or Google Search Console verification code, you might not need to add a specific extension.

From your forum’s control panel, specifically from the main sidebar menu, click on “Appearance” then scroll down to the bottom of the options. You’ll find the option to add custom code to the header.

thanks for your kind reply; I’ve already tried this earlier, but Bing failed the verification on numerous attempts!

sunnay Hello again, just so you know, the verification process may take some time, up to 48 hours.

On the other hand, if the issue is related to verifying forum ownership in Bing Webmaster Tools, you can use other, faster verification options, such as DNS auto-verification.

You can find more information about domain ownership verification in Bing Webmaster Tools.

Remember that this is only a secondary help, and if you need to use an “extension”, you can wait for a response from the administrators.

sunnay the extension you linked will not help you with search engine verification, it simply adds a styled header to the main page. Also, in fact, the extension is already available at FreeFlarum under the name “CustomHeader”.

Have you tried “HTML Head Items”? Seems like that one does what you’re looking for, and it’s already available at FreeFlarum
