Hello I hope you are well I was wondering if the forum provided quick access links . I mean a single URL that leads to specific places. For example: A unified link that leads to the member’s profile on the forum . Regardless of which forum member clicks on it, the link leads to his or her personal profile. A link that leads to the option to start a discussion, directly without having to click on the “Start Discussion” button. For example, I want to include a “Start a discussion in the forum” link on an external site, and when clicked on it shows the writing input field. I hope the question is clear. And thanks in advance

I was wondering if the forum provided quick access links. I mean a single URL that leads to specific places.
For example:

A unified link that leads to the member’s profile on the forum. Regardless of which forum member clicks on it, the link leads to his or her personal profile.
A link that leads to the option to start a discussion, directly without having to click on the “Start Discussion” button. For example, I want to include a “Start a discussion in the forum” link on an external site, and when clicked on it shows the writing input field.

This would be possible with FoF Direct Links (redirect to /composer/), however it currently seems to have issues at FreeFlarum. I have reported the issue here: https://github.com/FriendsOfFlarum/direct-links/issues/1

I am not sure whether any extension currently offers this behavior. If you are aware of some and it’s not at FreeFlarum already, please request it inExtension Request. You can also look or ask at https://discuss.flarum.org for alternative solutions, as FreeFlarum provides support for FreeFlarum’s hosting and service related matters only. It appears that the “FoF Direct Links” extension is not present in the list of extensions on a forum hosted on Freeflarum. I will be waiting for it to be added over time.
I looked at the post you shared with me and it appears to be to the point, but unfortunately there is no answer about the link that leads directly to my profile.

Yes, that has to be requested first (atExtension Request, if a request doesn’t exist already).

You could bump the thread and let them know that there are more people who are looking for a solution? Point is, FreeFlarum unfortunately cannot implement this feature for you, as we do not maintain the Flarum core or any of its extensions. But if an extension that does this exists, we’ll be more than happy to include it for you (after someone requests it atExtension Request)
