Update: I see that many FreeFlarum forums were affected by the lack of extensions in Flarum v2. Unfortunately, many of these extensions were abandoned or made by authors that moved away from the community, which means that they will likely never be available in v2 (unless someone updates them, and it is difficult to say when that would happen).
At this point, going back to v1 on FreeFlarum is not an option. So, after careful consideration, I have decided that the best option/“hotfix” right now is to just vibecode forks of these extensions purely to make them v2 compatible. I was thinking about this for some time before the update and I did not initially want to do this, however now I see this is probably the best way. The full list + source code is available here and so these are the missing v1 extensions that are available at FreeFlarum right now: https://github.com/FreeFlarum/extensions/.
Once again, please note that these extensions were updated to v2 by AI, under minimal human supervision, to help FreeFlarum users transition to Flarum v2 without losing most of the forum content and features that were available in v1. I am not a Flarum extension developer, so I will accept no new feature requests. There will only be occasional serious bug fixes, if I have enough free time.
If someone would like to take over these properly and maybe create an actual composer release, feel free to fork or copy the extension folder into another repository (or, ask me to transfer the repo to you). On the other hand, if you are one of the original authors and would like, for whatever reason, an extension to not be available for v2 in the repository above, please let me know and I’ll remove it from git and FreeFlarum.
There is no (and won’t be) official guide on how to install these on a Flarum setup outside FreeFlarum.
