Hi
I logged into my instance (stroke.flarum.cloud) then clicked remove footer (Not cos I want to remove the footer but I want to support you and get support back)

That took me to the donate page
I get a pop up that says you’re not logged in - apart from telling me the fact it doesn’t tell me the consequence so I don’t feel confident to proceed.
Is this message material? Am I doing something suboptimal or wrong?
Should I ignore it and just put in my payment details?

    How are you?

    Based on my personal experience in removing the forum footer and donating in general, as I have donated more than once, the method I follow is as follows:

    1. 1. Go to the Overview page in Forum Settings
    2. 2. Click on the “Donate” button.
    3. On the donation page:
      • The default donation amount is $7 or change it.
      • Enter your name
      • Type your forum ID in the message field
    4. Click to donate

      The process of removing the footer is - as far as I know - automatic, so it is important to follow the instructions on the donation page.

      That should not happen, as you should donate just fine without being logged in (not sure if this is a Ko-fi thing, which is the service we use to process donations). Just to confirm, is it the https://freeflarum.com/donate page that you are viewing? Could you please share the screenshot of the popup, if possible?

          Hi yes I can screenshot. Do I have to load the s/shot somewhere to then give an url to the post? Or is there a means I’ve not seen on this fora? - the image icon of this edit window inserts a markdown link prototype afaics

              the donate process ran differently this time
              I’ve now received 3 emails
              A receipt from Kofi
              A thnx from FreeFlarum
              And…
              … A “you weren’t logged in when you donated” which is subtly implying I won’t get flarum offers & support unless I link to a Kofi account within 72hrs

              NOW I’ve a step further I can ask for/ offer the support I actually want!

                  Ah sorry, that’s correct. I have set the upload permissions for members now, apologies for the oversight.
