Because it has a higher download volume.
14569 unfortunately, that’s the original extension which is marked as abandoned now. That’s why this replacement was requested (and the one before, in the original GitHub issue).
However, the extension in this request seems to have been abandoned too now: https://discuss.flarum.org/d/34066. I believe that there is currently no other suitable replacement, unfortunately. If you find one, please create a new extension request for it (new discussion). Therefore, I’ll be closing this now.
