I am wondering if this is Free Flarum related because so few other people report this problem?
Instead of the username I am just seeing “unknown” (German: unbekannt) in the email post notification.

orschiro I personally do not remember encountering this, and can’t debug at the moment, sorry.
If I’d have to guess from the context of the issue, it is mainly because of the loading order of extensions? There is currently no way to specify loading order from the frontend or by extension devs, AFAIK.
orschiro sorry, no idea. But according to this comment, it might be related to flarum/subscriptions, and later comment suggests that loading order also affects this error.
I think that in general, any extension that works with mentions or e-mail notifications has an impact on this. But I can’t confirm nor debunk this. The fact is, the issue is known and will hopefully be resolved soon.
