Thanks. I enabled FoF Doorman and just found the option to disable Sign-up in the Permissions menu. Love how user-friendly this sw is.

Enabled FoF Doorman on a free account on flarum.cloud, sent invite codes via Send Invite Codes in the Doorman menu. Pressed the save button before sending, checked the spam folder, went through the procedure multiple times, the e-mail doesn’t arrive. Am i missing a configuration?

LakeTetra2 if you go to Administration > Mail > Send test mail, does that arrive correctly?

LakeTetra2 Ok, seems the issue is the domain. The invite code does arrive at another e-mail provider.

The e-mail contains the link to the front page and the code. Shouldn’t the link be a unique url or a field to enter the invite code on the website?

LakeTetra2 which domain? Are you using the default FreeFlarum mail settings? If yes, and the domain is some major hosting provider, it is possible that it blocks FreeFlarum’s emails and I need to fix that

SKevo I didn’t change the FF mail settings.

          SKevo which domain?

          Free.fr

            LakeTetra2 Free.fr

I can confirm that host mistakenly flagged FreeFlarum’s e-mail server IP as spam. According to their docs, this block should be lifted after 24 hours, but if it’s not, I will contact their support to resolve this issue. Thank you for the info

              SKevo Nice, thank you.

I get an invite code from Doorman but on the forum’s homepage there is no field to enter it, nor an activation link in the mail.

Could you test if the Send Invite Codes feature in FoF Doorman works for you?

LakeTetra2 yes, I can receive the e-mail, where the following is written: “When you are ready to create your account, simply click the following link and enter the code when signing up”

So, if a user clicks on the “Sign up” link, the form should include an “Invite Code” field, where they input the code:

This should register them with the code, and assign them to the group you configured in your admin panel

Does the Sign Up require the invite code? I had to enable Sign up to have it appear on the homepage.

I wanted to check if i can sign up without the code (which i don’t want) and when i fill in the form get this error:

This email or its domain is not on this community’s whitelist.

The e-mail provider Tutanota was allowed before i enabled Doorman and Sign up.

As far as I know, yes. Disabling sign up will make FoF Doorman useless. However, the extension should still disallow public sign ups by making the code either optional or not (you can see the switch at the bottom of FoF Doorman’s settings page).

LakeTetra2 This email or its domain is not on this community’s whitelist.

This error message comes from the “nyu8/flarum-email-filter” extension - either it is not configured properly, or it is an error in that extension. Can you check that extension’s settings in your admin panel?

Yes, works now. I overlooked the email-filter settings, configuring is straight-forward as can be I see now. Thank you for your time!

This is actually very useful for my forum
Never mind it does not work properly
