Severe forum issues (discussions randomly deleting, etc.)

A clear description of the issue:
So basically, discussions are somehow randomly being deleted from my forum, and some users have reported not being able to create a discussion. There’s even a whole megathread about it right here.

If there was a backup of the forum it would be appreciated if we could roll back.

amp I think the issue might be somehow related to post mentions, but I can’t confirm this. Mind if I register a temporary admin account to test this?

FYI I have restored backup for your DB from 2025-04-21, and also saved the database before the rollback (if you ever want to go back to 2025-04-23 01:35:12 UTC)

SKevo You are free to, but to avoid confusion just letting you know that to follow suit with our wiki, mods are called admins and admins are called bureaucrats

Also we might need to roll back to an older time, roughly around the one where a “List of Rejected Suggestions” and a “ampmod website sneak peek” existed

FreeFlarum keeps backups for 7 days, shall I rollback to the oldest one then?

Also, please let me know if the issue happens again so I can check the logs and find the cause (in that case, we possibly won’t have to rollback)

amp sorry for the late response, I’ve rolled back your forum to backup from 2025-04-16. Let’s see if the issue persists - ideally, it would be useful if there was some consistent way to reproduce the issue, so we can figure out the exact culprit

SKevo Unfortunately there is often a random chance of it happening, but you can stalk https://ampmod.flarum.cloud/t/bugs-and-glitches and see if anyone reports it. Also, you could enable the Blog extension and try to make a blog post, as errors happened to me that caused the entire text of the blog post to disappear when posting.
