Hi guys, I understand that with this extension a user can request to delete themselves and then get an email to confirm, my question is, why doesn’t it delete the user? It just names their account anonymous? Does it take a while for it to delete? I’m just confused, thank you

Polls the default action is anonymization, but there should be an option to let the GDPR extension delete the data instead (on extension page in admin panel) and you should be able to change it (according to that ext’s README). However as FreeFlarum doesn’t maintain this extension, perhaps it would be better to ask the authors instead, try the official Flarum forum: https://discuss.flarum.org

SKevo for anyone else wondering, the user requests erase they confirm the email then what you can do is when you get the request go on their profile delete all of their stuff and then disable the extension and on user directory there will then be an option to delete the user it’s a work around it’s fiddly but it works
