Previously uploaded images are broken/missing/not resolving?

A clear description of the issue:

Our managed Flarum community has suddenly stopped loading previously uploaded images.

Browser console shows as follows:

GET https…. // d7db812e-ab96-4b5b-a23d-42cacfe600bd-cdn.on-flarum.com/files/…png
net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

should this not be formed as:

https…. // cdn.on-flarum.com/d7db812e-ab96-4b5b-a23d-42cacfe600bd/files/…png

Impact:
