  • Problem with formatting views (RTL)

My forum URL is https://foro.arsoporte.com/

This problem occurs when using the forum in a right-to-left format.

The details are as follows:

  • Page views appear on the right side when they should appear on the left side below the “number of replies”.
  • There is no space between the “eye” icon and the number representing views.
  • Views appear on the right side above profile pictures in an overlapping, uncomfortable way.
    Here is a screenshot showing a model of the problem surrounded by red, and the green rectangle indicates where it should be:

    The extensions that I encounter formatting problems when using in the Arabic version are many, so I block them from people until they are fixed.

    medelinor according to the extension’s README, not all extensions are supported: https://github.com/irmmr/flarum-ext-rtl?tab=readme-ov-file#supported-packages

    So, if you are using any additional extensions, they might not display properly. This is unfortunately something that FreeFlarum has no control over and support for additional extensions should be added by the extension’s author. Please, send your post to https://github.com/irmmr/flarum-ext-rtl/issues or https://discuss.flarum.org/d/29660

    If you are familiar with CSS by any chance, then these can be fixed by adding custom styles in your Appearance tab under Administration. I can help you with that. We can then create a PR to include the fixes in the extension source code.

              I have no problem using screenshot or any other relevant content to improve the forum.

              Just a note: In the Read Me section of the Views extension, it seems that the icon and view count appear directly below the Comments count. Now that you’ve fixed the issue, could this mean that the Comments count is wrong or is there another issue?

                  medelinor you’re right, the views weren’t aligned directly below the comment count, I apologize that I missed that. I have updated the fix so the view count is right below the comment count.

                      For me, this is a more than good fix.

                      Just notice in the screenshot how the eye icon (number of views) is right below the “Comment” icon, and the number is below the number as well.

                                  medelinor no problem. FYI, the mobile view is not aligned properly too, but I unfortunately can’t debug that right now. I will have a look at it tomorrow, if that’s okay

                                          medelinor unfortunately, I am unable to create a CSS for the mobile view that correctly aligns the view count. I think it is best if we leave this as a temporary patch and wait for the extension author to implement a proper fix in the next extension release?

                                              I think the problem with the mobile version has to do with the “icon and number of comments” as well.

                                              It’s good to have some patience, I hope the extension will be updated soon and the problem that appears on the front end of the forum will be solved.
